Santa Catalina Island is 22 miles south-southwest of Los Angeles and is a destination resort town with vacation and year round rental units. The Island is apx. 22 miles long and 8 miles across. Avalon is the only city with a population of apx. 3,000. There are four shuttle services from the mainland, San Pedro and Long Beach are daily shuttles, Newport Beach and Dana Point are seasonal. A nice place to buy real estate and call home.
